Who is No Good Horses

“You guys  killed it…” A phrase that is becoming common for the guys in No Good Horses to hear as they exit a stage after a set filled with energy from the first chord to the last drum crash. It doesn’t matter if they are playing one of today’s country hits from Morgan Wallen or Cody Johnson, or a throwback to the foundation of country like Merle, Willie, Keith Whitley or Vince Gill, or if they are playing one of their original songs…you’re going to get energy. Best described as “rock and roll with a cowboy hat”, No Good Horses is bound to get you dancing and singing along, whether you know the songs or not. The wall of guitars rest on the shoulders of a tight and funky drum and bass rhythm section. The fiddle and pedal steel dance in and out. Taking you on a ride through a parish dirt road with the windows rolled down with the stereo all the way up.

Formed in 2022 by good friends who love good music, No Good Horses is comprised of members who had played with other local North Louisiana music acts previously, but only for the first time together at the South Franklin Catfish Festival. Before the guys could get off stage, event promoter Brandon Loman met them at the stairs of the stage and said “That. Was. Awesome. Are you guys free to headline next year's festival? Because after what I just saw…you’re it!” Their second gig was not without pressure either. Taking their show on the road out of state, the Horses ran wild in the First Financial Music Hall for ElDo-MAD’s Battle of The Bands, where they placed and took home prize money along with debuting their first single “One More Thing”. Despite early successes, rest assured this band is only getting started. Big things coming.
